Rubia Group has proudly supported the City of Hampton through a range of integrated services including branding, strategic planning, graphic design, and sign fabrication and installation. Our team has collaborated with multiple city departments to develop cohesive visual identities, deliver community-informed planning processes, and design engaging, high-impact signage that enhances public spaces. From concept to installation, our work reflects a commitment to creativity, clarity, and community engagement—helping the City of Hampton communicate its vision and values through every project we deliver.

Engineering and Resilience, Lake Hampton 

One of Hampton, Virginia’s newest recreational amenities, Lake Hampton was created from a construction outfall pit. The lake offers a 1.5 mile paved recreational loop around it and integrates a stormwater management system, while preserving and promoting the growth of the area’s natural ecology. Rubia Group was tasked with creating the visual and storytelling brand content for Lake Hampton, as well as producing and installing interpretive signage throughout the location.

What We’re Doing

In a phased approach, we are delivering the following in Phase 1:

• Strategic planning for user experiences and accessibility requirements

• Brand development

• Storytelling copywriting

• Graphic design of visual content, including layout

• Sign fabrication and installation, in partnership with our subcontractor Sign Media, Inc.  

For Phase 2, the following has been proposed to the city of Hampton:

• Integration of Augmented Reality, via a QR code, into the fabricated signage placed around the Lake.
